This is the gravel road, Buffington Road, that ran in front of our home. The picture was taken from the base of our driveway. Buffington Road narrowed to a single lane in several places. It was usually one of the last roads to be plowed in Winter and turned very muddy in Spring. When we first moved into our home, there was so little traffic that when we heard a car go by it roused us from our seats to see who was passing through.
