A view of the rear of our home and the backyard. That's me on the roof on the right painting the trim around the window. This photo was from the back upstairs porch of the duplex homes at the end of the yard. These homes were owned by my parents and rented to various families through the years. The many lines running through this picture are ropes that are run through pulleys used to hang clothing for drying. Typically, Monday was wash day and Tuesday was reserved for ironing. This back porch was a favorite place for my mother to relax after the daily chores were complete, |
