This is one of my roommates, John Benchowski in our dorm room. I can't remember the name of our other roommate. John also was fron Mount Carmel. John was in the army before coming to Fordham. To say that there were many former servicemen attending Fordham, during my time there, is an understatement. Many temporary buildings dotted the campus in order to accomodate them. Many of them were on the football team. My bed is on the right. It is neatly made up, but not by me. There was daily service by "maids" who made the beds, emptied the trash and swept up a bit. Rooms, then, were rather tidy but nevertheless Sparten.
